Meena signs for City.

Malaika Meena has signed for City on a two-and-a-half-year deal with the option of a further year.

The midfielder came through the academy systems at both Arsenal and then Chelsea before signing for Wake Forest University in North Carolina.

She spent three and a half years in the USA before returning to England to sign for the Robins.

“I’m very excited to sign for Bristol City, especially with the ambition of this club, fighting for promotion," she said.

“I’m really happy to be here.”

Michelle Yeowell, Head of Player Recruitment, added: “We’re delighted to bring Malaika to the club. She’s an exciting young player with lots of potential and we’re excited for her to grow with us.”

Meena will wear squad number 18.
