Miss Kick Match Preview: Crystal Palace Women (H).

08 Jun 2026BCW Media Team

👀 A LOOK BACK: Southampton Women 1-0 Bristol City Women (Sun, Jan 30th)

The two sides were in deadlock after the 90, which meant a 30-minute period of extra-time would be played and Southampton wasted no time in setting out their stall.

Ella Morris drifted off her marker at the far post to connect with Ella Pusey’s ball into the box and hand the Saints the advantage just one minute into extra-time.

City were then awarded a penalty in the second half of extra-time when Beever-Jones was tripped in the area. Jesse Woolley stepped up to take the spot-kick, but blazed her effort over the bar.

The Saints held out for the remainder of the game to claim a fourth round scalp and advance to the last sixteen of the competition.

Sunday's fixture will be the third time these two sides have met this season after meeting in the FA Continental Cup group stages as well as in the first FA Championship fixture of the season. Palace took all three points in an enthralling league encounter which finished 4-3 in their favour, but then the Robins secured top spot in their FA Continental Cup group after beating the Eagles 5-4 on penalties at Hayes Lane.

City come into this weekend's fixture looking to bounce back after a run of three successive defeats, meanwhile Palace come into the fixture with the aim to build on last week's 3-1 victory over Lewes at Hayes Lane.
