👀 A LOOK BACK: LONDON CITY LIONESSES 2-3 BRISTOL CITY (Sunday, February 27th)
Just before the half-hour mark Beever-Jones won the Robins a penalty when she was brought down in the box. City's top scorer Harrison made no mistake in putting the Robins one up when she smashed the ball into the roof of the net from the spot.
However, minutes later the hosts were level through Lily Agg after a goalmouth scramble from a resulting corner and the teams went into the break level.
The Robins came flying out the traps at the start of the second half with Beever-Jones putting the visitors ahead when Ella Powell fired the ball across the box which the 18-year-old dispatched beautifully with a first-time volley.
The skipper made it 3-1 in the 58th minute when she fired a free-kick into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Five minutes later the hosts pulled one back when Alli Palisch found the back of the net with her left foot after cutting in from the right.
Despite London City Lionesses' efforts to get something from the game, the Robins solid defence in the final 20 minutes earned Smith's side all three points.
