It was special night for Jemma Purfield who opened the scoring at The Dripping Pan in spectacular style.
Further goals from Emma Bissell and Ebony Salmon sealed victory for the Robins on the south coast.
“It’s my first goal for the club and that’s special for me, but more importantly we got the job done tonight. Ebony scored a fantastic goal and so did Emma, as a team we've won and that was our main focus.
“We have got to take confidence from these games and having more the ball and putting into the back of the net. Onwards and upwards for the group, we have now got a quarter-final to look forward to and the league to focus on also.
“We showed our quality and professionalism tonight. We kept the ball and we were patient then we created opportunities and took them.
“They were sat in a good block and credit to them they made it difficult for us, but credit to the girls for breaking them down and putting it in the back of the net.
“It’s always good to have a good cup run, it can give us confidence and keeps us in the competition to have a shot at some silverware.
All four players introduced in the second half were aged 20 and under and Purfield has praised the performance of the City youngsters.
“Every one of the younger girls were brilliant tonight. It shows they have been working hard and waiting for their opportunity and they have taken it.”
