Competitive football returns this weekend for Bristol City Women as they travel to, Quorn FC to face Championship side, Leicester City Women on Sunday (19th August, 2PM).
The Australian believes that if her side hit their key targets and stick to their principles throughout the ninety minutes they will come away with the win.
“It’s been a bit of whirlwind for the players and we’ve been working really hard to pull together, get to know each other and get good understanding of what we’re looking at in terms of our playing style.
“You go into every game wanting to win it and for us it's about the performance. We’re really looking at hitting our key targets and our principles, and if we do that we will put in a good performance, then the result should follow.
“The girls are all up and ready for it, as are we, it’s a really exciting time.”
The City Women boss is delighted with the level of young talent that has been brought into the club this summer and is excited to watch them grow and develop as the season unfolds.
“The young talent we have got in is amazing. We’re really hoping to hold on to the for two or three years and watch them grow and develop under the brand we’re trying to play.
“Every manager would like to start with a win, but if the performance is there I will be really happy with that.
“We’re focusing on the long-term goals at the moment, Leicester is part of that, but we’re looking at six months down the line to make sure we’re in a solid position in the league, as well as the advanced stages of the cups.”
