The 20-year-old arrived in the summer of 2018 having left Manchester City and the left back had become a regular in Tanya Oxtoby’s starting eleven.

Having missed the start of the 2019/20 season due to a foot injury, Pattinson made her comeback from injury against Birmingham in December.

The full-back has decided to move on after the expiration of her two-year contract, despite a vested interest and substantial offer from the club to retain her services.

Poppy Pattinson, said: "I would like to thank Tanya for the opportunity to be a part of Bristol City, my teammates and the fans for the past two years, but I feel now is the time for a new challenge."

Bristol City Women Manager, Tanya Oxtoby, said: “Poppy has been an integral part of our squad since joined us on trial in my first pre season here, and to see her develop and grow within our environment, on and off the pitch has been a real pleasure.

“She has always been a part of the club’s plans moving forward for next season and we are very disappointed she has decided to move on, however we have to respect that she wanted to seek a new challenge elsewhere.

“I know for myself personally I always have a keen eye on her continued development, and take pleasure knowing we were able to provide an environment for her to gain regular game time to kickstart her WSL career.”
