️ Powell pens new contract.

The Welsh full-back has signed a new one-year deal with the option of a further year, after arriving in the West Country in the summer of 2021. 

Twenty-two-year-old Powell has been a near ever-present in the Robins' defensive line, making 24 appearances in all competitions and providing three assists. 

Powell provides plenty of Championship experience having previously plied her trade at Lewes FC and Charlton Athletic as well as bringing productivity at both ends of the pitch.

On signing her new deal, Powell said: "I'm very happy to sign a new deal here at Bristol City as it's a great club and I have really enjoyed my first season in the West Country.

“Since arriving in the summer I have felt like Bristol has become my second home. I’ve felt confident on the pitch, and it’s been great to work with Lauren (Smith) again - during my first year here I feel as though I have not only developed on the pitch as a player, but also off it as a person. 

"I'm very excited for what's to come next season as we have a fantastic group of players and staff, who have now got more experience under our belt and as a collective we’re determined to make progress on last season.”
