Powell signs new contract.

Ella Powell has signed a one-year contract extension at Bristol City. 

The Welsh international – who is part of the squad at the Women’s European Championships this summer in Switzerland – will remain at Ashton Gate for the 2025/26 season.

Powell has been at City since 2021 and was a big part of the Championship winning season in 2022/23, making 21 appearances

On signing her new deal, 25-year-old Powell said: “I’m delighted to be signing a new contract with this club. It’s no secret that last season was difficult and personally for me a disappointing campaign. 

“But, with this exciting chapter with Wales and going to our first major tournament I am full of confidence and absolutely ready to hit the ground running and help push this team forward in a new era for the club.”

Chair Gavin Marshall said of the signing: “Ella is another player we are pleased to have extend her stay here. 

“She is a real fan favourite, and she has a wonderful opportunity over in Switzerland with Wales this summer and we look forward to welcoming her back this season.”
