Bristol City make the trip to Lancashire as they visit Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, March 22nd (3pm).

The Robins hit the road looking for a reaction after a run of three League games without a win, drawing with Southampton and Charlton Athletic either side of a defeat at Newcastle United.

Steve Kirby's side will be hoping for more of the same from their last meeting with Blackburn, when Emily Syme’s last minute winner saw them to a 2-1 win at Ashton Gate in October.

OUR OPPONENTS: BLACKBURN ROVERS

Founded: 1991
Stadium: Ewood Park
Nickname: Rovers

Blackburn Rovers were relegated from the Barclays Women’s Super League in 2011 after its resbrand, having been long-serving members of the top division prior to that.

They had their application to change name from Blackburn Rovers Ladies to Blackburn Rovers Women approved by The Football Association in 2023.

Having been promoted to the Barclays Women’s Championship in 2019, Rovers had a solid season of consolidation last campaign after a few years of fighting for survival in the second division.

Simon Parker’s side have endured a tough season this time around however, finding themselves 10th in the League, only a point and a place above Sheffield United at the bottom.
