City return to Women's League Cup action with a trip to Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday, December 11th (7pm).

Steve Kirby's side come into this one on the back of an excellent away win at Southampton in the Adobe Women's FA Cup, while the Seagulls' last outing saw them fall to a 4-2 league defeat at Chelsea.

The Robins lost to Birmingham City in their last outing in this competition, having taken the bonus point from Leicester City after a penalty shootout victory in their first League Cup fixture.

OUR OPPONENTS

Founded: 1967
Stadium: Broadfield Stadium
Nickname: The Seagulls
Manager: Dario Vidošić
Finish Last Season: 9th

Dario Vidošić, former Australian International and Head Coach of Melbourne City Women, took charge at Brighton in July and has made great progress.

They've enjoyed an excellent start to the 2024/25 Barclays Women's Super League campaign and currently sit fifth in the table, just two points behind Manchester United and Arsenal.

A strong summer window can certainly be credited for some of their success, the Seagulls swooping for Lioness stalwarts Fran Kirby and Nikita Parris from Chelsea and Manchester United respectively, as well as landing top scorer Kiko Seike from Urawa Red Diamonds.

In the Women's League Cup, Brighton dispatched Birmingham City 3-0 before losing on penalties at Leicester City.
