Preview: Bristol City Women v Everton Ladies.

City Women went down 2-0 to Manchester City at the Oaklands Stadium, whilst Everton lost 4-3 to Reading on penalties.

Previous meeting

The Vixens last met the Blue Girls in the penultimate game of game of the 2016 WSL 2 season. City Women won 3-2, after a dramatic late penalty save from Caitlin Leach, which meant City Women were promoted back to WSL 1 alongside Yeovil instead of Everton.

Today's meeting

Heading into 2018, victories over Yeovil and Sunderland put Everton sixth in the table.

The Vixens lie eighth on four points, defeating Yeovil Ladies at the Stoke Gifford Stadium and drawing with Arsenal at Meadow Park. 

Three-to-watch:

Danielle Turner - A product of the Everton Ladies Centre of Excellence, Turner has international experience with both the England Under-19s and Under-23s. Her blistering pace and ability to put the Blue Girls on the attack means she is real threat from the back.

Jodie Brett -  Everton Ladies secured the signing of midfielder Jodie Brett from Chelsea in July 2017. She is a familiar face at the Stoke Gifford Stadium, having spent the 2016 season and the 2017 Spring Series on loan at the Vixens. She has captained an England Under-19s side and has since appeared for both the Lionesses at Under-20s and Under-23s level, and was named in the latter squad that won the Nordic Tournament in 2017.

Courtney Sweetman-Kirk - Everton Ladies completed the signing of Doncaster Rovers Belles striker Courtney Sweetman-Kirk in September 2017. Sweetman-Kirk was top scorer in the 2017 Spring Series with nine goals, just pipping Everton striker Claudia Walker's tally of seven.
