The Vixens disappointing result against Everton last week leaves them with four must-win games to secure promotion back to WSL1.

City Women play bottom of the league, Watford Ladies on Saturday and Kirk’s side know what they have to do.

“Last week we trained without that focus of having a game at the end of the week, which I think was a good thing,” said head coach Willie Kirk.

“This week has been all about getting the right result on Saturday. 

“Everyone is feeling an element of pressure after the Everton game didn’t go in our favour.

“It just means that all four games left are huge.

“We have done a lot of final third work over the last two weeks, we had 19 crosses in the Everton game but it only resulted in three efforts on goal, which was disappointing. 

“We know if we play to our potential then we should secure the three points we need.”
