Bristol City hit the road this weekend as they make the trip to league leaders Charlton Athletic on Sunday, November 16th (2pm).

City are currently four unbeaten in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2, having won three and drawn once in that period.

Charlotte Healy’s side are full of belief and confidence on the back of last weekend’s 7-0 win over Ipswich Town at Ashton Gate, in which Rio Hardy and Sophie Ingle each bagged a brace, and Maria Farrugia, Lexi Lloyd-Smith and Issi Hebard rounding off the scoring.

OUR OPPONENTS: CHARLTON ATHLETIC

Charlton Athletic, albeit under numerous names, were once one of the most successful clubs in domestic women’s football.

In 2018, after a period of time in the lower leagues under the control of the community trust, they were promoted to the second tier after winning the Women’s Southern Division, and beating Northern Division champions Blackburn Rovers in the play-off final.

Last season proved to be their most successful to date in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2, The Addicks finished 3rd under the management of Karen Hills, six points behind eventual champions London City Lionesses.

Hills’ side have made an incredible start to this campaign and currently top the division, winning six and drawing two of their opening eight games, conceding only three goals in that time, which has seen them stay unbeaten this season to date.
