Bristol City Women are back in BS3 as Crystal Palace visit Ashton Gate on Wednesday, December 17th (7pm).

Charlotte Healy’s side are on a run of two consecutive wins following a 4-0 league victory over Sheffield United, and a 2-0 win over Portsmouth in the Adobe Women's FA Cup on Sunday.

Three points on Wednesday evening would also see The Robins climb above Birmingham City and into second place.

City will also be boosted by the return of Emily Syme, who is available after missing Sunday’s game through suspension.

OUR OPPONENTS: CRYSTAL PALACE

Crystal Palace became semi-professional and were founding members of the Women’s second tier in 2018.

They recorded back to back top five finishes in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2 and received professional status in 2023.

The following season (23/24) saw Palace gain promotion to the Women’s Super League for the first time in their history, winning the WSL2 with a win against Sunderland in front of a record crowd at Selhurst Park.

Their inaugural season in the top flight was one of disappointment however, as they finished bottom and were relegated back to the second tier.

Jo Potter was appointed as manager in the summer and has overseen a mixed start to the campaign, with Palace sitting midtable on 13 points after ten games.

Former City captain Jamie-Lee Napier is in contention to make her first return to Ashton Gate since joining The Eagles from The Robins in the summer.
