Bristol City are on the road again as they travel to Essex to face Ipswich Town on Sunday, January 25th (2pm).

The Robins have made a positive start to 2026, first beating Nottingham Forest 4-2 at The City Ground, before progressing in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup last week with an extra-time win over Southampton.

Charlotte Healy will be hoping for a similar performance to the one which saw her side beat Ipswich 7-0 at Ashton Gate back in November, but is expecting a tougher test from The Tractor Girls this week.

“We know that they’ll be different (from November), Ashton Gate is a tough place to come, they’re going to be at home, they’ve got a new manage, and of course you get that bounce with a new manager," she said.

OUR OPPONENTS: IPSWICH TOWN

Ipswich Town were part of the founding members of the Women’s Premier League in 1991, but have played their trade mostly in the lower leagues of the football pyramid since their relegation in 1995.

The Tractor Girls won the Women’s National League South last season and were promoted to the second tier, and it was announced that their home games would be shared between the Colchester Community Stadium, and Portman Road.

David Wright’s side have had a difficult season back in Barclays Women’s Super League and find themselves bottom of the league, five points adrift of Portsmouth with a game in hand.
