City are back on the road as they make the trip to London City Lionesses on Sunday, September 22nd (2pm).
City are looking for their first three points of the season after two draws from their opening two games, and new Head Coach Steve Kirby will be hoping he can have a positive effect on the team in his first game in charge.
The new boss has seen huge positives to take from the opening fixtures of the campaign, saying ‘I have watched both games so far and I have been impressed with the performances.’
Defensively, City have started in strong fashion, with new signing Harley Bennett winning player of the match last week and striking up a good partnership with Sille Struck at the back. The Robins created some good chances in last week's goalless draw with Birmingham, and will be hoping they can take advantage of them this time around.
OUR OPPONENTS: LONDON CITY LIONESSES

Nickname: The Lionesses

Finish Last Season: 8th
London City Lionesses, formerly Millwall Lionesses, were founded in 2019 when the club went independent and split from Millwall FC.
The Lionesses have been a permanent fixture of the Barclays Women’s Championship since then, consistently finishing comfortably mid-table apart from the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, where they challenged for promotion, finishing just three points behind City as they won the title in 2023.
They had a tougher season last time out, finishing 8th, but there was optimism when the club was bought by Korean-American entrepreneur Michele Kang in December. Kang has had an instant impact, with the club making some statement signings this summer, most notably Sweden captain Kosovare Asslani.
They have subsequently started the season in relatively strong fashion, picking up four points from their opening two games as they look to compete for promotion to the WSL.
