Bristol City are back on the road as they make the long trip North to face Newcastle United on Sunday, October 12th 2025 (2pm).

Charlotte Healy will be hoping for much of the same from her side after last weeks comfortable 2-1 win over Durham.

Experienced pair Sophie Ingle and Vicky Losada bagged their first City goals in that one, and they’ll be keen to continue their strong start to the season with a good performance and a win on the North East.

OUR OPPONENTS: NEWCASTLE UNITED

Newcastle United became professional at the beginning of the 2023/24 season and were promoted to the Barclays Women’s Super League 2 that same season.

The Magpies enjoyed a good first season in the second tier, finishing fifth and hosting a number of record crowds at St James’ Park.

They have had a mixed start to this campaign however, winning one, drawing two and losing two of their opening five games, and they will be looking to put that right infront of their fans this weekend.

Lia Cataldo and Shania Hayles, who both were key parts in City’s 2022 league winning campaign, are both key players for Newcastle and will likely feature in Sunday’s game.
