Bristol City Women are back in Barclays Women’s Super League 2 action after the Christmas break as they make the trip to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, January 11th (2pm).

The Robins had been in good form prior to the 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace in the final game before the festive hiatus, and begin the new year in a strong position, sitting third in the division and occupying the play-off place.

Charlotte Healy has been boosted this week by the club’s first acquisition of the January transfer window, adding England international and City academy graduate Katie Robinson to her ranks from Aston Villa.

Sunday's hosts beat City 2-1 at Ashton Gate in September after Sophie Ingle was sent off, a decision which was later overturned, and Healy will be looking for her side to avenge that defeat at the City Ground.

OUR OPPONENTS: NOTTINGHAM FOREST

Nottingham Forest became a full-time professional team as of the beginning of this season and began playing all home games at the City Ground.

This was announced at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, which coincided with Forest winning the Women’s National League Northern Premier Division and achieving promotion to the WSL 2.

The division’s newbies have had a strong start to their maiden season, finding themselves in a respectable sixth after 11 games, winning five, losing five and drawing one.

Amy Rodgers and Chloe Mustaki are familiar faces to City fans having left the club to join Forest in the summer, and will both be in contention to feature against their former club this weekend.
