Bristol City are back in action after a two week hiatus as they make the trip to Portsmouth on Sunday, March 15th (2pm).
City are heading into the business end of the season and have it all to play for, currently sitting fourth, two points behind Crystal Palace in the play-off place, and three behind Birmingham, who occupy the second automatic promotion spot.
Charlotte Healy’s side will be looking to put their form prior to the international break behind them, and will take plenty of positives from their performance in the 2-0 FA Cup defeat to European Champions Arsenal last time out.
OUR OPPONENTS: PORTSMOUTH
After turning semi-professional at the beginning of the 2023/24 season, Portsmouth were promoted to the second tier for the first time.
They endured a tough start to their first season, but ended up staying up relatively comfortably, finishing ninth.
Pompey were able to lift themselves off of the bottom of the table with a shock 2-0 win against previously unbeaten, league leaders Charlton Athletic at The Valley in midweek, so will head into Sunday’s contest full of confidence.
There is a familiar face in the Pompey ranks, with captain Jasmine Bull having made her professional debut for City in 2021 and going on to make 24 appearances at Ashton Gate.
