Bristol City are back on the road as they head to the North East to visit Sunderland on Sunday, November 3rd (2pm).

The Robins are hitting form under Head Coach Steve Kirby, going four unbeaten in all competitions, including three wins on the bounce in the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Ffion Morgan scored the vital goal in the 1-0 win over Portsmouth prior to the international break, and picked up where she left off for her country, bagging for Wales in midweek.

OUR OPPONENTS: SUNDERLAND

Founded: 1989
Stadium: Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground
Nickname: The Lasses
Manager: Melanie Reay
Finish Last Season: 3rd

Last season, Sunderland recorded their highest finish since their demotion from the WSL in 2018, ending the campaign in third place in the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Melanie Reay’s side were top of the table for a considerable amount of time, eventually missing out on promotion to Champions Crystal Palace, and Reay will be aiming to go one better and win promotion this season.

The Lasses have endured a mixed start to this campaign, winning two of their first six games, and narrowly losing to fierce rivals Newcastle United last month in front of a record crowd at The Stadium Of Light.

They come into this one on the back of a positive result before the break however, having beaten high-flying Durham 2-1 at Maiden Castle.
