Last time out, The Vixens were defeated 3-1 by Everton in the FA Cup, Sunderland faired better as they recorded an emphatic 13-0 win against Brighthouse Town to progress to the next round.

Previous meeting

City Women and Sunderland last met in the Spring Series, with Sunderland the victors thanks to a Lucy Staniforth penalty in the North-East. Willie Kirk's side will be looking for retribution tomorrow as City Women dominated large parts of the game in the Spring.

Tomorrow's meeting

The Vixens currently sit in eighth place in WSL 1, while the weekend's visitors sit one place and two points above in seventh. If City Women are victorious, they will move above their opponents tomorrow.

Three-to-watch:

Lucy Staniforth - Staniforth re-signed for Sunderland in January 2016 from Liverpool and put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Wearside club. Born in October 1992, the midfielder made her debut for Sunderland when she was just 16-years-old.

Simona Koren - Koren was one of four deadline day additions to Melanie Reay's squad for the 2017-18 season. The 24 year-old Austrian international striker signed from German Bundesliga side MSV Duisburg.

Kasia Lipka - Lipka spent eight years with Doncaster as well as playing as part of the England youth set up between under 17's and under 23's. The now 24 year old central midfielder joined Melanie Reay's side from Doncaster Belles on deadline day before the 2017-18 season.
