The midfielder has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Robins to become Lauren Smith's first signing of the summer.

She makes the switch to the South West having spent the last two seasons with London City Lionesses where she chalked up over 50 appearances, leading the club's scoring and assisting charts in her first campaign.

The 23-year-old represented Crewe Alexandra and Everton at youth level before signing for Liverpool where she made her debut in 2017, her first of more than a half century of appearances in red.

The close of the 2018-19 Women's Super League season brought with it both the Fans' Liverpool Women's Player of the Year and Young Player of the Season awards for the then 18-year-old, who remained on Merseyside for a further two seasons.

Rodgers has also represented England in the U17, U19 and U21 age groups, but has since opted to represent Scotland. She earned a first call-up to the senior team ahead of next week's fixtures against Northern Ireland and Finland.

"I'm so excited to join the club," she said. "I can't wait to get going."

"I've played against Bristol City for quite a few years now and it's always been an exciting game and a really tough opponent, so I've always thought that it would be something I'd love to be a part of.

"The club did a brilliant job in getting promoted last season so it was a bit of a no-brainer when Lauren got on the phone and asked me to join."

The world’s best players will be visiting Ashton Gate over the course of 11 home league games as Lauren Smith's side take on the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal, and you have until 5pm on Monday, July 31st to secure your seat ahead of the price increase.

Two FA Continental Cup group fixtures are also included in the 23/24 Season Ticket price and a venue for the pair of Cup fixtures will be confirmed in due course.
