The Australia defender completed an hour for Luke Williams' young Robins on Monday, and could feature for the squad's Severnside derby clash this afternoon (November 23rd, 2pm KO).

The match against Cardiff City U23s was originally scheduled to be played in Bristol but has since been reversed, meaning the fixture in January will revert to a home game.

Wright's U23s run-out against Colchester United proved to be his first involvement back on the pitch since City's pre-season camp in Marbella.

Now the Socceroos man is eyeing the full 90.

He said: "I’ll try to get 90 minutes and look to be available for the first-team as soon as I can.

"The plan is to certainly do the hour or 75 minutes and if I’m alright I’ll push to the 90 but I will see how I feel.

"I need to be smart and not push myself too hard, too quickly but I'm feeling good."

Today's fixture versus the Bluebirds will kick-off at 2pm and is free to supporters.
