Simpson returns on loan.

Bristol City Women are delighted to announce the return of Jess Simpson on loan from Manchester United, until the end of the season.

Simpson returns after signing on loan at the start of last season, before a serious injury ended the spell early.

The 19-year-old defender has progressed through the academy at United and will link up with the Robins for the second half of the season.

City Women Head Coach Steve Kirby said: “We know the quality Jess has and how disappointing her injury was last season.

“It is great she is able to come back to Bristol City and show the Championship the quality she has. We know she will learn a lot from us, and she is desperate to get back playing.”
