Smith aiming for strong finish to 2021.

The Robins welcome the Rookettes to the West Country for a fourth time this season and this time round it is a third round Vitality Women’s FA Cup encounter.

Smith’s side face three games in seven days to bring a close to a calendar year and the City boss has urged her side to finish strong.

Speaking to Robins TV, Smith said: “We’re looking forward to the FA Cup, it’s always a great competition.”

“Was I gutted to see Lewes draw out the hat, yes, because we have played them so many times this season but they’re a good team and they’re going to give us a good game.

“They’re going to be up for it as well because they have come to us a number of times and not come away with anything.

“The challenge for us is to pick back up where we left off before the break and continue with our levels of consistency in this three game spell before Christmas.”
