The visitors' skipper Katie Wilkinson scored late on to cancel out Abi Harrison's 20th goal of the season and deny the Robins of all three points.
Speaking to Robins TV, Smith said: “In the first half we built up possession and created chances but left them in the game in the second half. I'm frustrated that we didn't see the game out but I'm pleased with how we performed in the first half.
"We gave the ball away too often in the last 20 minutes of the game".
On Harrison netting her 20th of the season Smith added: "She gives the same every time she puts on the shirt for us, she'll work until the very end of the game and she'll always be a threat in front of goal."
The City Head Coach also spoke about the Robins' final home game of the season and what her side can do to secure the three points against London City Lionesses next weekend.
