Emily Syme has signed a one-year extension at Bristol City.

The 24-year-old will remain in BS3 in her second spell at the club having progressed through the club’s academy system.

Syme rejoined City in 2022 after spells at Yeovil Town, Aston Villa and Sheffield United.

Last season, she was voted the 2024/25 Players’ Player of the Year and was voted the Barclays Women's Championship Player of the Month for December.

On signing a new deal, Syme said: I am delighted to have signed a new deal with the club. Bristol City is home for me, and I can’t wait for another season with this club. I hope to make plenty more memories and for another successful season. I can’t wait to get going and see all the fans in September.

City Women Chair Gavin Marshall added: “Emily has been a big part of this club for many years and is one of our own.

“The fans love watching her play and we are so pleased she is staying with us for next season.”
