As both sides embark on a new season, Thatchers Cider will feature on the back of Bristol City Women and Bristol Bears Women home and away shirts for the upcoming season.
Thatchers Cider is the family-run cidermaker with its home at Myrtle Farm in Sandford. It has been making cider for four generations, and its knowledge and passion for apples is reflected in its ciders – authentic, full of flavour, and a distinct character that reflects Somerset cidermaking at its best. It crafts a range of ciders, including Thatchers Gold, Thatchers Haze and Thatchers Rosé, all made with the same care, attention and hands-on experience.
“Thatchers Cider have been a fantastic partner to Bristol Sport and our clubs for many years. Their brand is synonymous with the region and instantly recognised and enjoyed by our supporters,” said, Bristol Sport Group Head of Commercial, Caroline Herbert.
“It is fantastic that they’ll continue to support both of our women’s sports and understanding the value in supporting and growing the women’s game in both football and rugby.”
Martin Thatcher, Managing Director and fourth generation cidermaker, said: “Over the last few years women’s sport has gone from strength-to-strength and there is a real excitement surrounding both women’s rugby and football.
“As a close partner to Bristol Sport we’re delighted that Thatchers Cider will be appearing on the shirts of Bristol City Women’s Football Club this season, as it does with Bristol Bears Women.
"As the city’s local cider we’re always delighted to be a part of activity at Bristol Sport. We wish Bristol City Women and Bristol Bears Women a successful season ahead as they continue to inspire the local community with the work they do both on and off the field.”
