Goals from Shania Hayles and Emily Syme secured the victory on a bitterly cold and foggy afternoon at the Robins High Performance Centre.
Following three games without the taste of victory, the City boss credited the reaction of her side but said she was 'not surprised' by the outcome.
"We know that that's the performance we can put on," she said. "I'm not surprised. The way we've looked in training this week in terms of the focus and preparation has been exceptional so I'm pleased they were able to transfer that onto the pitch. Hopefully that puts us on an upward trajectory."

Sunday's fixture at the Robins High Performance Centre was City Women's last home match for a month as the Barclays Championship embarks on a four-week winter break.
The Robins are back in action in BS8 on Sunday, January 15th (3pm) to take on Coventry United.
