The Scot scored in added-time to wrap up all three points for the hosts and with-it eclipse Natalia Pablos’ previous goal-tally (22) to become the Robins outright leading markswoman.
Prior to the goal, Chloè Bull’s double had provided City with a two-goal cushion, however Rosie Kmita struck late on to bring Watford back into the game but the stiker’s goal quashed any hopes of a Hornets comeback.
Speaking to Robins TV, Harrison said: “To be honest I didn’t even know it (the record) could have come today and looking at the game maybe it wasn’t even going to come.
“I’ll take it, I’m happy and I’m not stopping there and hopefully there is plenty more to come!”
On City’s performance, Harrison recognised that her side failed to find their top gear against the Golden Girls but praised the Robins’ patience to find a way to win.
“I don’t think we really got going. I think the second half was a bit better, we found the spaces a bit more but for our own standards we know it’s not good enough,” she added, “we got three points and that’s what matters.”
Bull was a standout performer in BS8 with the midfielder bagging a brace as well as picking out Harrison for her record moment and the striker hailed her teammate’s quality on the ball and backed City’s goalscoring ability.
“We know Chloe’s quality, she shows it day-in, day-out at training. We’ve learnt that the goals will come, we’re a high goalscoring team and we trust that and we’re solid at the back.
“As long as we do our job up there then I back us to come away with three points every week.”
