TRAVEL DISRUPTION

Due to localised flooding on Friday 20^th, rail lines between Bristol Temple Meads via Bath Spa and Swindon and Bristol Parkway/South Wales and Swindon are closed. Routes between Gloucester and London are also closed so there are currently no diversionary routes. The severity of the flooding means many roads are blocked, and GWR are unable to provide alternative transport.

PARKING

Free parking will be available at the Portway Park & Ride with an easy connection directly to Ashton Gate stadium via the AG1 service, which will run every 15 minutes.

OVERVIEW

The AG1 service will be running from 4:15pm to 6:15pm and with post-match departures until 9:45pm to make reaching the stadium stress free with easy parking and reliable connections to the game!

In connection with Project Whitebeam, we will be awarding a randomly selected fan with a signed shirt by the Bristol City Women’s team!

MATCHDAY BUS

The AG1, will be running from the Portway Park & Ride (via Portway) and will depart approx. every 15 minutes.

For those travelling from the centre of Bristol, the First Bus number 24 service calls at Bristol Temple Meads and drops on Winterstoke Road, outside Ashton Gate. For more information on this service please visit the First Bus timetable here.

RAIL

Those planning on travelling by train should be aware of planned engineering work that is being carried out on the line on Sunday 22^nd October. 

Rail replacement buses will be running between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa. There will also be a reduced service between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads as well as reduced service between Bristol Temple Meads and Weston-Super-Mare.

WALKING/CYCLING

Fans walking or cycling from the city centre and harbourside are advised that Vauxhall Bridge is closed for repairs. Gaol Ferry Bridge and Bedminster Bridge remain open. Full details visit Restoration of New Cut bridges (bristol.gov.uk). 

CLEAN AIR ZONE (CAZ)

Those travelling by car should be aware that central Bristol, including many of the roads around Ashton Gate, is now part of the new clear air zone (CAZ) where non-compliant cars will be charged between £9 and £100 per day to drive.
