The Robins went toe-to-toe with the league-favourites on Sunday afternoon to pick up a valuable point on the road. Arguably City could have returned home with all three points after creating the lion's share of opportunities but they were unable to get a breakthrough and settled for a point.

Both sides were reduced to 10 players in the second half after Liverpool skipper Naimh Fahey received two yellow cards for two tackles on Aimee Palmer.

Brooke Aspin was then sent to the changing rooms after two yellow cards in the space of a minute after a strong challenge on Ashley Hodson, followed by a handball in the wall from the resulting free-kick.

City Women have back-to-back home games coming up at the end of the month as Durham visit the Robins High Performance Centre on Sunday, September 26th (12pm KO), followed by Sunderland Ladies who travel to the West Country on Sunday, October 3rd (3pm KO).
