Wellings found the net in the first period with a well-taken finish in the box, before Christie Murray pegged Birmingham level in the second half in Solihull.

The forward believes her side need to tune-up their decision making in the final third as they approach their last four games of the Barclays FAWSL season.

“It was disappointing to not come away with all three points,” said Wellings.

“We came out in the first half really well but in the second I feel we let ourselves down a bit. We came here to get all three points and to come away with only one feels like a bit of a defeat - we’ll take the point and we’ll keep kicking on.

“We said in the week that it was going to be the final third that made the difference and in the second half that is what let us and ended up putting us in a frustrating position.

“The positive is that we’re creating these chances and hopefully if we make the right decisions moving forward it can allow us to pick up more points in the last four games.

“Recently we have been struggling in the first half and performing well in the second. We seemed to have switched it this week, which is disappointing because we wanted a complete performance, but we take the point and move
