'We love the pressure' - Palmer on Birmingham City clash.

With a big crowd expected in BS3, the City skipper says her side are ‘relishing’ in the pressure and want to keep building on an excellent first seven outings.
 
“It will be great to have the fans out in their numbers and they really help us perform at our best,” she said.
 
“We love playing at Ashton Gate but at the end of the day it’s a game of football that we need to win.
 
“We always say that the international break comes at the wrong time but right now, any time we’re not playing is a wrong time for us as we’re building momentum every time we play.
 
“It may not always be pretty, but we manage to get the job done and that shows the depth of our squad.”
 
She continued: “Birmingham got relegated from the WSL last season so we know it will be a tough test.
 
“They have some good players in that squad, but we’ve shown this season that we can step up to every occasion so we’re really looking forward to it.”
 
Sitting atop the Championship standing brings added pressure each weekend, but Palmer and her side are riding that wave.
 
“We’ve got some great players in this squad, and everyone is important regardless of whether they’re in the starting eleven or not,” she said.
 
“Every single player and every member of staff has already made an impact this season.

“We’re top of the table and two points clear with a game in hand so we’re the team to beat at the minute, but we’re relishing in that - we love the pressure.”
