The Robins will be looking to bounce back from successive defeats this weekend against the table-topping Red Devils at Leigh Sports Village.
Salmon was on the scoresheet in this fixture last year, netting the winner in a 1-0 victory against her former side. The speedster will be aiming to come back and haunt United yet again when the action kicks off on Sunday.
“We went into the week quite positive, but we didn’t come out the week the way we wanted to and with the number of points we targeted. We’ve been in this position before and the fact that we have half the season left to fix it is positive for us - we’ve got to be the ones who drive that.
“We’ve got to go into every game with a positive mindset, as if we can win it. We can’t look it like ‘oh this is a big team we’re not going to win’, as we proved last season, we have the chance to win any game and we’ve got to go into every game with that mindset.
“The main message we’ve been getting as a team is to stay in the game, because you never know what could happen. We’ve proved that already this season against Reading, we went 1-0 up then conceded but we managed to get a point from it.
“They’re at the top for a reason and we’re at the bottom for a reason. We’ve got to go into the game and give everything, no one is going to expect anything of us, we’ve just got to believe in ourselves and go for it.
“If we focus on the performances, then the results will take care of themselves. We’ve got to take it game by game, because ultimately the table is not going to be decided until the last game of the season.”
