LETHAL UNITED
“We’re disappointed to lose but there are elements of the performance that are really positive. We’ve got to tighten up in certain areas, we know that, but I thought United were excellent with some of the goals they scored, although the two set pieces are disappointing considering we worked on those all week.
“You saw their quality and the way they moved the ball, that’s why they’re top of the league. They moved the ball quickly, I thought we adjusted ok to that, but one lapse of concentration and they punish you for it. That’s been the story of our season so far and it’s something we need to improve on, but credit to United today, they were great.”
CLINICAL EDGE
“We had a great opportunity in the first five minutes and if that goes in, it causes some problems and some shaky boots. We created two or three more chances in the second half, but we haven’t taken them, and again that’s been the story of our season.
“We need to be better in both boxes and that’s something we’ve got to work hard on. It would be more concerning if we’re not getting into those areas and creating the chances.”
KEY PLAYERS RETURN
“Having Aimee Palmer back was great, she’s two weeks ahead of schedule – credit to the medical team.
“Chloe Logarzo was out on the pitch and we’ve still got Jas Matthews to come back in after the break.
“We’ll be using the Christmas break to get those players as fit as we can, so that we have got a full squad to pick from for the Brighton game, which is a massive game for us.”
