The Robins know that victory would secure promotion to the Barclays Women's Super League, but the midfielder insists her side are approaching this game like any other.

"Me and the girls can't wait," she said. "We've got two massive games coming up but we'll play the game and not the occasion.

"I know Lauren's set the tone, but I don't think much changes. Every week is a fresh week, a fresh game and a fresh chance to impose ourselves.

"I don't think we're getting too carried away and we're looking forward to Sunday like we would any other game."

Furness, who secured the Championship with Liverpool at Ashton Gate last season, knows what it takes to win on big occasions.

"I hope I can bring in the experience, but the girls know to enjoy training this week, be the best version of themselves and come together collectively. We've got a great bunch and the mood in camp is very high and we're very excited for this week.

"After the international break, where everyone had a reset, we've really come back in and hit the ground running and had a great squad performance last Sunday. That was carried on in training this week. So we're all pushing each other, we're all fighting to get in the squad and get in that starting line-up for Sunday."

With a record-breaking crowd already backing the Robins at Ashton Gate, Furness highlighted the importance of the City faithful.

"The fans coming out and supporting us in their numbers is massive too," she said.

"We just want them to be loud. Last time I was at Ashton Gate I made some good memories and the crowd were fantastic that day. Support us, be loud and get behind us and we will give everything for the shirt."
