Bristol City’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against West Brom has been named as the Club’s annual Foundation Matchday.

The Foundation Matchday returns for the 2025/26 season when Bristol City Football Club host West Bromwich Albion at Ashton Gate on Saturday 21 March, celebrating the impact of Bristol City Robins Foundation and the vital work it delivers across the city.

As part of a bumper weekend of football, City women's game against Charlton Athletic the following day on Sunday 22 March at Ashton Gate will also be dedicated to the Foundation.

Both games provide an important opportunity to showcase how the Foundation use the power of football to engage, support and inspire people from all backgrounds, helping to create stronger, healthier communities across Bristol.

Bristol City Robins Foundation work with thousands of young people, families and adults each year through a wide range of programmes focused on education, health and wellbeing, inclusion and community engagement.

Together, We Are City

At its core, the Foundation Matchday weekend campaign is built around one simple idea for supporters:

Together, We Can Do More. Together, We Are City

Everything happening around both matches will be designed to reinforce how the club is built on community.

From the Fan Zone to the stadium bowl, the upcoming Foundation fixtures will shine a light on the work of Bristol City Robins Foundation, and the role football plays in bringing people together across the city.

As it's also World Down Syndrome Day on Saturday 21 of March the clubs official charity will also be celebrating Bristol City Down Syndrome FC and all the Robins Foundation associate teams during the match.

Bring a Pound to the Ground

As part of Foundation Matchday, supporters are encouraged to bring £1 to the ground to help fund the Robins Foundation’s community provisions and keep sessions accessible for those who need them most. Small contributions from many fans can make a big difference.

On both days, supporters can expect an increased Foundation presence around Ashton Gate, including activity in the Fan Zone and throughout the stadium. Foundation participants will be involved in key matchday moments, helping to bring the club and community together and bring the story to life visually and emotionally.

Further opportunities to donate and get involved will be available across the stadium, with Foundation staff and volunteers on hand to talk about the work taking place across Bristol.

In the build-up to the match, supporters will hear directly from Foundation participants, see the impact of programmes across the city, and learn more about how they can support the work through the Club and Foundation’s digital channels.

Dan White, Chief Executive of the Bristol City Robins Foundation said:

The annual Foundation Matchday is a hugely important moment for us. It’s a chance to bring the club and community together, celebrate the impact of our programmes, and remind everyone that football can be a powerful force for good. We’re incredibly grateful to the Club, supporters and partners who continue to back our work and help us reach more people across Bristol.”
