GREEN FOOTBALL WEEKEND - WEAR YOUR OLD SHIRTS!

City’s clash with Charlton Athletic is a dedicated Green Football Weekend edition!

We’re calling all City fans attending to wear their old and or vintage City shirts as part of Green Football Weekend.

Dig out your old City shirts and get behind the team and the Green Football theme of the 'Great Save'!

This year is all about keeping sports kit in play for longer – whether by donating, selling, reusing or upcycling – helping to reduce waste, save money, and support those in the community who may otherwise lack access to kit.

City’s Green Football activity will include:

  • Sports Clothing donation drop off in the Fan Village from 12pm..
  • Opportunity for City fans to score goals in the Green Football Cup and help the club climb the Green Football Cup league table by visiting greenfootballweekend.com
  • A special edition of the free You Reds! magazine for junior supporters

IN-SEAT ALCOHOL PILOT

Bristol City’s pioneering approach to enhancing the matchday experience has taken another step forward as fans are now able to drink in their seats for home league games at Ashton Gate for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.

City are taking part in a pilot along with three other women’s football clubs and venues – Birmingham City (St Andrews Stadium), Newcastle United (Kingston Park), and Southampton (St Mary’s Stadium) – to allow alcohol to be consumed in view of the pitch.

The pilot will be implemented from Sunday's game and will remain for the second half of the 2024/25 Barclay’s Women’s Championship which includes the following fixtures:

  • Sunday, March 16th, 2025: Charlton Athletic (2pm kick-off)
  • Sunday, March 30th, 2025: Sheffield United (1pm kick-off)
